Sant Ambrogio di Valpolicella is 18 km from Verona and is known worldwide for its green hills embroidered by the vineyards of Valpolicella, a real heritage to admire and conserve. Among the many attractions to visit in the valleys of Sant Ambrogio di Valpolicella we find the mysterious village of San Giorgio, with the Pieve di San Giorgio Ingannapolton, which despite looking very close from the plain, was once reachable only through a hard and challenging.

According to tradition it is said that it dates back to the Middle Ages, when the word "poltron" meant lazy, and later, it was jokingly added to the toponym of San Giorgio in Ganna, where Ganna would simply mean pile of stones.

On the top of the Poia hill we find the small church of San Zeno in Poia, immersed in a group of cypresses in a particularly peaceful place. Also in the area we can admire Villa Serego, located in the locality of Santa Sofia di Pedemonte, in fact it is also called Villa Santa Sofia, it is one of the spectacular Venetian villas designed by the great architect Andrea Palladio in 1565, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
