At Dorsoduro we can say that there’s really everything from works of art to nightlife. It’s a rich and fascinating district.
The eastern area, certainly more calm and gracious is characterized by shady squares, silent canals, views of the lagoon and picturesque residences of wealthy Venetians and foreigners.
The west part of the district, on the other hand, is more lively and has its main point of interest in the Santa Margherita Campo, a meeting place for young people, with several shops, restaurants and bars that also offer live music until late at night.
