In this chapter we discuss the mountain groups located between the Veneto region and Trentino Alto Adige, the Feltre and the Pale di San Martino Dolomites.

The Feltre and Pale di San Martino Dolomites consist mainly of dolomite rock and are among the most popular and famous in the world.

The former are part of the Feltrine Alps, which take the name of the nearby town of Feltre whereas the latter are the most extensive mountain group of all the Dolomites. For their importance they are part  of the wonderful Paneveggio Natural Park of the nearby region of Trentino Alto Adige.

Feltre and Pale di San Martino Dolomites

The impending rocky walls of the Feltre and the Pale di San Martino Dolomites provide the perfect backdrop to the spectacular valleys, green pastures and wide expanses of woodland. These magical areas are very popular destinations for tourists from all over the world, as they attract both those who seek a quiet walk with the family, and those who practice extreme sports.



In the various inhabited centers, moreover, you can find many structures that offer wellness centers, spas, restaurants and huts that will pamper you with typical products of the tradition of these valleys. Only two mountain groups, the Alpi Feltrine and the Pale di San Martino Group, located along the border between Veneto and Trentino, are part of this section. The top of Vezzana stands out above all at 3192 meters and is located in the municipal territory of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza.
