In this chapter we deal with a very fascinating, suggestive and welcoming area of the province of Belluno, from Agordo to Sottoguda.
The chapter from Agordo to Sottoguda brings together the entire central territory of the province of Belluno, trying to enhance the most typical products and the small jewels set among these green Alpine basins. This territory is surrounded by imposing mountain ranges, such as the Pelmo Group, the Civetta Group, the Pale di San Lucano, the Sella Group and the Queen of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site, the Marmolada.
Not far away we find Sottoguda at its feet, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy that still maintains the rural architecture typical of the Ladin tradition, and where we can find peace, tradition and typical products. Not far away we see Arabba, the most important center of the entire Belluno Val di Fodom, and we can consider it as a real gem.
Definitely worth trying nearby is the Sellaronda, a skiing and road route around the Sella Group, considered among the most beautiful in the world. Going down we reach the Val Fiorentina which dances together with the stream of the same name until it flows into the Cordevole river near the hamlet of Caprile, in the municipality of Alleghe.
Located on the shores of Lake Alleghe, this small and pretty town, a very popular destination for tourists, offers many outdoor activities as, thanks to its strategic position, it has a wide range of trails and paths for every person, from the most expert mountaineers to families, giving one of the most beautiful scenarios in the world.
Finally we arrive in Agordo, located in the center of a splendid sunny valley, which over time has become the economic and cultural center of the whole province of Belluno, called precisely Agordino.
