In this chapter we discuss one of the most characteristic and peaceful villages of Valpolicella, in the province of Verona, Pescantina.
The town of Pescantina is located at the foot of the Valpolicella valleys. Located along the banks of the river Adige and has always had as main economic activity the manufacture of boats or "burchi", as they were called by the locals. At the center of this town we find the "Chiesetta di San Rocco" of the fifteenth century with its fragments of murals and the splendid "Duomo di San Lorenzo", with its 80-meter high bell tower, the neoclassical-baroque style and a unique nave characterized by paintings by Veronese artists.
