Before arriving in Bardolino we find its small hamlet, Cisano, a characteristic fishing village very suggestive and welcoming. It is located on the shores of Lake Garda, nestled between the green hills and the fresh waters of the famous lake.

Along its shores, which allow pleasant walks, we can find several sandy or pebble beaches, typical of the area, or some grass pitches to relax in the sun on beautiful summer days. Surrounded by a territory particularly suitable for the cultivation of vineyards and olive groves, Lazise is an ideal starting point to discover its cellars and its food and wine products.

They can also be reached by bicycle, or by taking advantage of the countless cycle paths that we find available in these areas. In the small town we can admire in the square, the Romanesque church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, dating back to the thirteenth century, but internally renovated between 1849 and 1851, according to the forms and neoclassical taste of the time.

Along the coast of Lake Garda, the landscape ordered in terraces guards and cares for its centuries-old olive trees, from which an extra virgin olive oil DOP is obtained, with a yellow color tending to green thanks to the high concentration of chlorophyll, which smells of fresh almonds and of field herbs, with a light vanilla base in the distance.

To discover the secrets, just stop at the first Italian museum dedicated to oil, from the Cisano oil mill. Where numerous ancient tools are displayed and used in oil mills in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, including a giant oak lever press and a crusher operated by a perfectly functional water wheel. Another excellent product is wine, which produces and preserves five DOCs in these areas, Bardolino, Custoza, Laguna, Valpolicella and Soave, which are grown from the eastern shores of the lake to the hills east of Verona .

Plan your trip to Lake Garda now and don't miss the opportunity to stop in this enchanting village, with its green hills, typical dishes, the warmth of its people and its colorful sunsets that will remain in your heart forever. Do not miss the "Sagra dei Osei", a traditional event that takes place the first week of September, in which the restaurants and kitchens of the associations offer the renowned typical local dishes.
