In this chapter we will discuss one of the most developed locations in the province of Treviso, located along the Via Postumia, Montebelluna.
Montebelluna is a world-class agricultural, commercial and industrial center located in the heart of the province of Treviso. It is located along Via Postumia, a Roman consular road built in 148 BC. from the Roman consul Postumio Albino, whose purpose was to join the main Roman ports of northern Italy, Aquileia and Genoa. Among the monuments we remember the Duomo dell'Immacolata Concezione, a grandiose building built in neo-gothic style around 1908 which is the main place of worship in the city and the church of Santa Maria in Colle. The latter is an ancient prepositural church that, today, is baroque altars removed because they are transported to the new cathedral, despite this preserves in the large ceiling "La Gloria del Paradiso", a fresco by Francesco Fontebasso.
