In this chapter we talk about a territory rich in resources, typical products, welcoming and natural: the Euganean Hills.
Immersed in the Veneto plain, the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills, is located south of the historic center of Padova and along the borders of the province of Vicenza. Its unmistakable hills, with almost perfect geometries, are of volcanic origin and date back over 40 million years ago. The landscape that accompanies the entire area reserves corners of unspoiled nature, picturesque historic villages and unique food and wine excellences.
The numerous villas, abbeys and castles enrich this landscape and its uncontaminated nature give peace and calm, perfect reasons to spend your holidays or to dedicate yourself to the various sports that can be practiced inside the park, such as mountain biking, climbing, Nordic walking, horse riding, golf, tennis and many others. Not to be underestimated is that the beauty of this park was a great inspiration for important Italian writers, poets and artists, such as Petrarca and Foscolo.
To make your journey in the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills even more pleasant and satisfying, you can enjoy hot thermal waters and the treatments offered by the local hotels. These meteoric waters come from the Pre-Alps, traveling for almost 80km to over 3000 meters of depth, in the dolomitic calcareous subsoil, are enriched with mineral salts and reach temperatures of about 87 ° C. They produce numerous benefits and they were already known in the times of the ancient Venetians, so much so that they were widely exploited even in Roman times.
