Zoldo Dolomites

In this chapter we discuss the suggestive and spectacular Zoldo Dolomites, immersed in green valleys, small lakes and wide expanses of woodland.

The Zoldo Dolomites or south-eastern Dolomites, are so named because they take their name from the Val di Zoldo, valley located right in the center of all the most famous Dolomites in the province of Belluno, namely: the Sesto Dolomites, the Carnic Prealps, the Prealpi Feltrine, the Pale di San Martino and the Gardena and Fassa Dolomites. This valley, surrounded by unspoiled nature, is a very natural and partly still wild territory where, between pastures, woods and elegant massifs it is still possible to perceive the immensity of this territory, which since 26 June 2009 is part of the humanity from UNESCO.

In the winter it becomes an immaculate paradise for lovers of downhill skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, cross country skiing and walking, a paradise for those who want to discover new routes and admire nature. In summer, however, the landscape awakens, the green pastures become a destination for hiking, family picnics, mountain biking, horseback riding and much more. The large rock faces of these mountains offer climbing enthusiasts many possibilities, even if among all stands out, the "Wall of the Walls", an impressive vertical wall, of the Civetta Group, with a difference in height of over 1000 meters and a width of about 4 kilometers.

For those who prefer quieter holidays, the many localities and hotels in the area offer wellness centers and spas to enjoy the few days of annual vacation in complete relaxation. The restaurants, inns and mountain lodges prepare all kinds of specialties; the typical products and traditional dishes of these areas will satisfy your palates, transforming your holidays into an unforgettable experience. Do not miss the opportunity to stop in the Zoldo Dolomites, the welcome of these valleys and the tranquility that the mountains will give you, will be the most beautiful gift you can make.

Below we will try to bring out the wonderful mountain groups that are located in the Veneto region and those that go beyond the borders slightly, given the majesty and the difficulty of managing these gigantic natural works of art.
